Charlie Schaub

I launched Blue Tile Capital with a goal of finding a quality business I could grow near my home in Houston, Texas.

 

I'm motivated by a deep admiration for entrepreneurs and a strong belief that the best businesses are not necessarily the biggest. Prior to beginning my search, I spent over a decade scaling sales and operations teams for venture-backed startups in the enterprise software and financial services space.

 

I received an AB in economics from Harvard College and a masters in financial management from Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business, though much of what I've learned is thanks to the experienced operators and investors who serve as advisors to Blue Tile Capital. 

 

While I don't especially like writing "About Me" blurbs, I find it more enjoyable to write about finance, books, and other interests over at Sunk Thoughts, my Substack newsletter. I also enjoy running, spending time with my family, and telling anyone who will listen how great Houston is.
